This research project aims to investigate the role and contribution of purchasing and supply in the profitability of Nigeria Bottling Company Plc, Aba. The study seeks to understand how effective purchasing and supply management practices can impact the overall profitability of an organization, using Nigeria Bottling Company Plc as a case study. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative interviews with key stakeholders within the organization. The quantitative analysis will involve financial data examination to assess the relationship between purchasing costs, inventory management, and the company's profitability. On the other hand, qualitative interviews will provide insights into the strategies, challenges, and successes of the purchasing and supply department in contributing to the company's profitability. The findings of this study are expected to shed light on the significance of purchasing and supply functions in driving profitability within a manufacturing organization like Nigeria Bottling Company Plc. By identifying the key factors that influence the effectiveness of purchasing decisions and supply chain management, the research aims to provide practical recommendations for improving the company's overall financial performance.
