Cancer remains a significant global health challenge, with millions of lives lost annually despite advancements in medical technology. Targeted drug delivery systems have emerged as a promising approach to enhance the efficacy and reduce the side effects of cancer treatments. This research project focuses on the development and evaluation of novel drug delivery systems tailored for targeted cancer therapy. The study aims to address the limitations of conventional cancer treatments by improving drug delivery specificity to cancer cells while minimizing toxicity to healthy tissues. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definition of terms. The literature review in chapter two delves into ten key aspects related to targeted drug delivery systems in cancer therapy, exploring existing research, technologies, and challenges in the field. Chapter three details the research methodology, encompassing eight essential components such as the selection of drug candidates, formulation development, in vitro and in vivo evaluation techniques, and data analysis methods. The methodology aims to provide a comprehensive framework for developing and testing novel drug delivery systems for targeted cancer therapy. In chapter four, the discussion of findings section presents a detailed analysis of the results obtained from the experimental evaluation of the developed drug delivery systems. This chapter includes seven key items covering the efficacy, specificity, safety, and potential clinical applications of the novel drug delivery systems. Finally, chapter five offers a conclusion and summary of the project research, highlighting the key findings, implications, and future directions. The research findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on targeted drug delivery systems for cancer therapy and offer insights into potential advancements in personalized medicine for cancer patients.
