Cancer remains a major global health concern, with conventional treatments often causing significant side effects due to the lack of specificity in targeting cancer cells. The development of a novel drug delivery system for targeted cancer therapy presents a promising approach to enhance treatment efficacy while minimizing adverse effects. This research project aims to design and evaluate a sophisticated drug delivery system that can selectively deliver therapeutic agents to cancer cells. Chapter One introduces the research by providing a comprehensive overview of the background of the study, highlighting the challenges in current cancer treatment approaches, stating the problem statement, outlining the objectives of the study, discussing the limitations and scope of the research, emphasizing the significance of the study, presenting the structure of the research, and defining key terms for clarity. Chapter Two comprises a detailed literature review that explores existing drug delivery systems, targeted therapy approaches, mechanisms of cancer cell targeting, advances in nanotechnology for drug delivery, and recent developments in cancer treatment modalities. This chapter critically analyzes relevant studies and provides a theoretical framework for the development of the proposed drug delivery system.
