Cancer remains a significant health challenge worldwide, necessitating continuous advancements in treatment strategies. The development of novel drug delivery systems for targeted cancer therapy has emerged as a promising approach to enhance treatment efficacy while minimizing systemic toxicity. This research project focuses on investigating and designing innovative drug delivery systems tailored for targeted cancer therapy. The study aims to address the limitations of conventional cancer treatments by improving drug delivery specificity and enhancing therapeutic outcomes. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research project, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the research. The chapter also defines key terms essential for understanding the subsequent chapters. Chapter Two offers an extensive literature review, encompassing ten key areas related to drug delivery systems, cancer therapy, targeted drug delivery, nanotechnology in medicine, and recent advancements in the field. The review synthesizes existing knowledge and identifies gaps that the current research aims to address.
