Project Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health concern, affecting an estimated 14% of the adult population worldwide. This progressive condition can lead to end-stage renal disease, requiring costly and life-altering treatments, such as dialysis or kidney transplantation. Consequently, the development of effective therapies to slow the progression of CKD and improve patient outcomes is of paramount importance. This project aims to evaluate the efficacy of novel therapeutic approaches for the management of chronic kidney disease. By exploring innovative treatment strategies, the study seeks to provide valuable insights that can inform clinical decision-making and ultimately enhance the quality of life for individuals living with this debilitating condition. The study will employ a comprehensive, multi-pronged approach to address the research objectives. First, a thorough review of the current literature will be conducted to identify the most promising novel therapies under investigation for CKD.
