Virtual reality therapy is a promising intervention that has gained considerable attention in the healthcare field for its potential to alleviate pain and anxiety in various patient populations, including pediatric patients undergoing medical procedures. This research project aims to explore the effects of virtual reality therapy on pain management in pediatric patients undergoing medical procedures. The study will investigate the impact of virtual reality therapy on pain perception, anxiety levels, and overall patient experience during medical procedures. The research will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative measures such as pain scales and anxiety assessments with qualitative data gathered through interviews and observations. A sample of pediatric patients aged 8-12 years undergoing medical procedures at a pediatric hospital will be recruited to participate in the study. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the virtual reality therapy group or the control group receiving standard care.
