Abstract
This comparative study investigates the impact of telehealth on chronic disease management in older adults. As the population ages, the prevalence of chronic diseases among older adults has increased, posing significant challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. Telehealth, defined as the delivery of healthcare services remotely through technology, has emerged as a promising solution to improve access to care and enhance disease management outcomes. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of telehealth interventions in managing chronic diseases among older adults, focusing on key outcomes such as patient satisfaction, health outcomes, and healthcare utilization. The research methodology includes a systematic literature review to identify relevant studies on telehealth interventions in chronic disease management among older adults. A comparative analysis will be conducted to evaluate the impact of telehealth on key outcomes compared to traditional in-person care. The study will also explore factors influencing the adoption and implementation of telehealth interventions in this population, including technological barriers, provider attitudes, and patient preferences. Findings from this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of telehealth in improving chronic disease management outcomes among older adults. By comparing the impact of telehealth interventions to traditional care models, this research aims to inform healthcare policymakers, providers, and stakeholders on the potential benefits and challenges of integrating telehealth into routine care for older adults with chronic conditions. Ultimately, this study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting the use of telehealth as a valuable tool in enhancing healthcare delivery and improving health outcomes for older adults with chronic diseases.
