Project Abstract

Abstract
The escalating crisis of antibiotic resistance poses a significant threat to global public health, necessitating the urgent exploration of alternative antimicrobial agents. Traditional medicinal plants have long been recognized for their diverse bioactive compounds, some of which possess potent antimicrobial properties. This research project aims to investigate the antimicrobial potential of selected traditional medicinal plants against antibiotic-resistant bacteria. The study will encompass a comprehensive literature review to identify relevant plant species and their bioactive compounds with known antimicrobial activities. Subsequently, an experimental methodology will be employed to evaluate the efficacy of these plant extracts against a panel of clinically relevant antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains.
