Abstract
The rise of multi-drug resistant bacteria poses a significant threat to public health worldwide, necessitating the exploration of alternative antimicrobial strategies. In this study, we investigate the antimicrobial properties of plant extracts as potential agents against multi-drug resistant bacteria. The objective of this research is to evaluate the efficacy of various plant extracts in inhibiting the growth of clinically relevant multi-drug resistant bacterial strains. The study begins with a comprehensive literature review to establish the background of the research and highlight the current challenges associated with antibiotic resistance. The methodology involves the extraction of bioactive compounds from selected plant species through various extraction techniques. These plant extracts are then tested against a panel of multi-drug resistant bacterial strains using standard antimicrobial susceptibility assays. The findings of this research reveal the potential of certain plant extracts to exhibit antimicrobial activity against multi-drug resistant bacteria.
