The rising threat of antimicrobial resistance has spurred the search for alternative treatments, leading to a renewed interest in exploring the antimicrobial properties of plant extracts against pathogenic bacteria. This research project aims to investigate the effectiveness of various plant extracts in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria, with a focus on their potential as natural antimicrobial agents. The study will begin with a comprehensive review of the existing literature on plant extracts and their antimicrobial properties. This literature review will provide a foundation for understanding the background and current knowledge in this field. Various plant extracts with known antimicrobial properties will be identified and selected for further investigation based on their reported efficacy against pathogenic bacteria. The research methodology will involve conducting laboratory experiments to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of the selected plant extracts against a panel of pathogenic bacteria. The methodology will include extraction techniques, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and data analysis to determine the effectiveness of the plant extracts in inhibiting bacterial growth.
