The university library plays a critical role in supporting the academic and research needs of the institution's community. However, with the increasing trends of globalization impacting higher education, university libraries face a myriad of challenges that necessitate adaptations to their traditional functions and services. This research project aims to explore the challenges that university libraries encounter in the era of globalization and to identify strategies to address these challenges effectively. Globalization has revolutionized the landscape of higher education, leading to increased international collaborations, diverse student populations, and a growing demand for digital resources. As a result, university libraries are under pressure to expand their collections to encompass a broader range of materials in various formats and languages to support the needs of a more diverse user base. Additionally, the shift towards digital scholarship and open access publishing has necessitated investments in new technologies and infrastructure to facilitate seamless access to electronic resources and scholarly communication platforms. Furthermore, the globalized nature of research and academia has increased the importance of interlibrary cooperation and resource sharing among institutions worldwide. University libraries must navigate complex copyright laws, licensing agreements, and data privacy regulations to facilitate the exchange of information and resources across borders while ensuring compliance with international standards and best practices. Moreover, the multicultural and multilingual nature of today's academic environment poses challenges for university libraries in terms of providing services that are inclusive and accessible to all users. Libraries must implement strategies to address language barriers, cultural differences, and varying information literacy skills to ensure that all members of the academic community can effectively utilize library resources and services.
