Project Abstract

Industrial conflict in public libraries can significantly impact staff production, leading to decreased efficiency and service quality. This research project examines the various forms of industrial conflict that can arise in public libraries, such as disputes over working conditions, pay, or management decisions. By studying the impact of these conflicts on staff production, this research aims to highlight the challenges faced by library employees and management in maintaining productivity in the face of such disruptions. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative interviews and surveys to provide a comprehensive understanding of the issue. Through surveys distributed to library staff and interviews with both employees and management, this research seeks to identify the specific factors contributing to industrial conflict in public libraries and how these conflicts affect staff production. The findings of this research are expected to reveal the significant impact of industrial conflict on staff production in public libraries. By analyzing the data collected from both quantitative and qualitative sources, this study aims to provide insights into the challenges faced by library employees in maintaining productivity in the face of conflict.
