Abstract
Sustainable farming practices play a crucial role in enhancing rural household income and food security. This research aims to assess the impact of sustainable farming practices on rural households in achieving economic stability and ensuring food availability. The study explores the various sustainable farming techniques and interventions implemented in rural communities to promote agricultural productivity while maintaining environmental sustainability. The research methodology includes a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect data from rural households practicing sustainable farming methods. By conducting surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions, the study evaluates the adoption and effectiveness of sustainable farming practices in improving household income and food security. The findings reveal the significant positive impact of sustainable farming practices on rural household income and food security. Through the implementation of techniques such as crop diversification, organic farming, water conservation, and agroforestry, rural households have experienced increased agricultural productivity, reduced production costs, and enhanced food availability. Moreover, the research identifies the challenges and limitations faced by rural communities in adopting sustainable farming practices, including limited access to resources, lack of technical knowledge, and climate change impacts. Recommendations are provided to address these challenges and promote the widespread adoption of sustainable farming practices among rural households. Overall, this study contributes to the existing literature on sustainable agriculture by highlighting the importance of incorporating environmentally friendly and economically viable farming methods in rural communities. The research underscores the significance of sustainable farming practices in alleviating poverty, improving household income, and ensuring food security in rural areas.
