Agricultural extension programs play a vital role in promoting sustainable farming practices in rural communities by providing farmers with essential knowledge, skills, and resources. This research aims to assess the impact of agricultural extension programs on sustainable farming practices in rural communities, focusing on the effectiveness of these programs in enhancing agricultural productivity, environmental sustainability, and economic well-being. The study will begin with a comprehensive review of existing literature on agricultural extension programs, sustainable farming practices, and their impact on rural communities. This literature review will explore various theories, models, and case studies related to agricultural extension and sustainable agriculture to provide a solid theoretical framework for the research. The research methodology will involve a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions will be conducted with farmers, agricultural extension agents, and other stakeholders to gather insights on the effectiveness of extension programs in promoting sustainable farming practices.
