Project Abstract

Abstract
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) has gained popularity in recent years as an effective exercise modality for improving cardiorespiratory fitness. This randomized controlled trial aimed to investigate the impact of HIIT on cardiorespiratory fitness in young adults. The study included a total of 100 participants aged 18-30 years, who were randomly assigned to either the HIIT group or the control group. The HIIT group underwent a 6-week intervention consisting of high-intensity interval training sessions, while the control group maintained their regular physical activity routine. The research design incorporated pre- and post-intervention assessments of cardiorespiratory fitness using standardized protocols such as VO2 max testing and heart rate monitoring during exercise. Additionally, perceived exertion levels, body composition measurements, and blood pressure readings were also recorded at baseline and after the intervention period. Data analysis involved statistical comparison of outcomes between the HIIT and control groups to evaluate the effectiveness of HIIT in improving cardiorespiratory fitness.
