Abstract
Climate change is a global phenomenon that has been significantly impacting coastal regions worldwide, leading to increased instances of coastal erosion and posing challenges to community resilience. This research study focuses on investigating the specific impacts of climate change on coastal erosion and community resilience in a particular region. The primary objective is to analyze the relationship between climate change, coastal erosion, and community resilience, identifying key factors that influence vulnerability and adaptation strategies. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review to explore existing knowledge on climate change impacts, coastal erosion processes, and community resilience frameworks. Through qualitative and quantitative data collection methods such as interviews, surveys, and field observations, this study aims to gather empirical evidence to support the analysis of the research questions. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review covering ten key areas related to climate change, coastal erosion, and community resilience, synthesizing current research findings and theoretical frameworks. Chapter Three describes the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the study. This chapter outlines how the research will be conducted to achieve the research objectives effectively. In Chapter Four, the discussion of findings section presents a detailed analysis of the empirical data collected, focusing on the impacts of climate change on coastal erosion, the vulnerabilities of communities in the specific region, and the resilience strategies implemented. The chapter also examines the effectiveness of current adaptation measures and identifies gaps for future research. Finally, Chapter Five offers a conclusion and summary of the research project, highlighting the key findings, implications for policy and practice, recommendations for further research, and concluding remarks.
