Climate change is a pressing global issue that continues to have significant impacts on various ecosystems, including coastal areas. Coastal ecosystems are particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change due to their unique characteristics and the interconnectedness of various components within these environments. This research project aims to investigate the specific impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems, with a focus on understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with mitigating and adapting to these changes. The research will begin with a comprehensive review of existing literature on climate change and its impacts on coastal ecosystems. This literature review will explore the current state of knowledge on the subject, identify key trends and patterns, and highlight gaps in understanding that warrant further investigation. By synthesizing and analyzing the existing body of research, this study aims to provide a solid foundation for the subsequent empirical investigation. The empirical component of the research will involve fieldwork in selected coastal areas to assess the direct and indirect impacts of climate change on various components of the ecosystem.
