Project Abstract

This project aims to explore and develop innovative strategies for sustainable urban regeneration, a critical challenge facing cities worldwide as they strive to balance economic growth, social equity, and environmental responsibility. Rapid urbanization, coupled with the pressing need to address climate change and resource scarcity, has brought the issue of sustainable urban development to the forefront of global agendas. The project recognizes that traditional approaches to urban development often fall short in addressing the complex and interconnected challenges of modern cities. By adopting a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective, this initiative seeks to identify and implement strategies that can catalyze the transformation of urban areas into vibrant, livable, and resilient communities. One of the key objectives of the project is to investigate the role of renewable energy, circular economy principles, and nature-based solutions in driving sustainable urban regeneration.
