This research project aims to analyze the intricate relationship between urban growth, farm exports, and tropical deforestation in various regions. By using advanced spatial analysis techniques and remote sensing data, the study will investigate the extent to which urban expansion and agricultural activities contribute to deforestation in tropical areas. The findings of this research will provide valuable insights into the underlying drivers of tropical deforestation and help policymakers develop more effective strategies for sustainable land use planning. By understanding the specific impact of urban growth and farm exports on deforestation, it will be possible to implement targeted interventions to mitigate these negative effects and promote more environmentally friendly practices. INTRODUCTION A big but so far unspecified chunk of the cash will go on programmes to prevent loss of tropical forests, which is a major source of greenhouse gases. Beyond 2012, tens of billions of dollars per year could be primed if a planned UN pact on curbing climate change comes to fruition. But environmental scientists publishing in the journal Nature Geoscience on Sunday cautioned
