Project Abstract

Solid waste management is a critical issue in Nigeria, with landfills being the most common method of waste disposal. This study aims to investigate the impact of solid waste landfills on the environment in Nigeria. The research will focus on assessing the environmental implications of landfill sites, including groundwater contamination, air pollution, and soil degradation. The study will also evaluate the effectiveness of current landfill practices in mitigating these environmental impacts.
