Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, offering a background of the study and outlining the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review, exploring existing scholarship on the representation of identity and culture in postcolonial literature. This chapter critically examines key concepts, theories, and debates in the field, providing a solid foundation for the subsequent analysis.
