Abstract
Sexual harassment is a prevalent issue in educational institutions, including public colleges of education. This research project aims to investigate the relationship between sexual harassment experienced by students in public colleges of education and its impact on their academic performance. The study will examine the prevalence of sexual harassment, the forms it takes, and the perceptions of students towards this issue. The research will utilize a mixed-method approach, combining surveys and interviews to gather data from a sample of students in public colleges of education. The surveys will provide quantitative data on the frequency and types of sexual harassment experienced by students, while the interviews will offer qualitative insights into the students' experiences and perceptions. The study hypothesizes that students who experience sexual harassment are more likely to have lower academic performance compared to those who do not face such harassment. By analyzing the survey data and interview responses, the research aims to explore the extent to which sexual harassment affects students' concentration, motivation, and overall academic success. Furthermore, the project will investigate the institutional responses to sexual harassment in public colleges of education. It will assess the existing policies and support mechanisms in place to address sexual harassment and protect students. Through interviews with college administrators and staff, the research will evaluate the effectiveness of current measures and identify areas for improvement.
