Abstract
Tele-dentistry has emerged as a promising solution to address the disparities in access to dental care for underserved populations. This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in providing dental care to underserved populations. The study will investigate the impact of tele-dentistry on improving access to dental services, enhancing the quality of care provided, and increasing patient satisfaction among underserved communities. The research will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative assessments to provide a comprehensive evaluation of tele-dentistry services. A systematic literature review will be conducted to explore the existing evidence on the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in delivering dental care to underserved populations. The methodology will involve collecting data from both dental providers and patients who have experienced tele-dentistry services. Surveys and interviews will be used to gather information on the perceived benefits, challenges, and overall satisfaction with tele-dentistry. Additionally, quantitative data on the number of patients served, types of services provided, and outcomes of treatment will be analyzed to assess the impact of tele-dentistry on improving access to dental care. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in addressing the dental care needs of underserved populations. The results will inform policymakers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders about the potential of tele-dentistry to expand access to dental services and improve oral health outcomes for vulnerable communities. Overall, this research project seeks to contribute to the growing body of knowledge on tele-dentistry and its role in promoting oral health equity. By evaluating the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in providing dental care to underserved populations, this study aims to advance efforts to reduce disparities in access to oral healthcare and improve the overall health and well-being of vulnerable communities.

Project Overview

The project titled "Assessment of the Effectiveness of Tele-dentistry in Providing Dental Care to Underserved Populations" aims to investigate and evaluate the impact of tele-dentistry in addressing the oral health needs of underserved populations. Tele-dentistry, a rapidly evolving field within dentistry, utilizes telecommunication technologies to provide dental care remotely, overcoming barriers related to access, cost, and distance. Underserved populations, including rural communities, low-income individuals, and those with limited mobility, often face challenges in accessing traditional dental services due to various socioeconomic and geographical factors. This research seeks to assess the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in improving oral health outcomes, increasing access to dental care, and reducing oral health disparities among underserved populations. By examining the utilization of tele-dentistry platforms, the quality of care provided, patient satisfaction levels, and the overall impact on oral health status, this study aims to contribute valuable insights to the growing field of tele-dentistry. The project will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative assessments, to provide a comprehensive evaluation of tele-dentistry services.
