Telemedicine, the provision of healthcare services remotely through the use of telecommunication and information technology, has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential to address healthcare access disparities. This research project aims to assess the efficacy of telemedicine in improving access to dental care in underserved communities. The study will investigate the impact of telemedicine on the delivery of dental services, patient outcomes, and access to care in communities with limited access to traditional dental services. The research will be guided by a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative assessments. A comprehensive literature review will provide a theoretical framework for understanding the role of telemedicine in dental care delivery and its potential benefits and challenges. The study will also explore existing telemedicine initiatives in dental care and their outcomes to identify best practices and potential areas for improvement. Through surveys and interviews with dental practitioners, patients, and healthcare administrators, the research will examine the perceptions and experiences of stakeholders regarding telemedicine in dental care.
