Project Abstract

Abstract
Recent advancements in nanotechnology have provided promising avenues for improving targeted drug delivery in cancer treatment. Nanoparticles hold great potential due to their unique properties, such as small size, high surface area-to-volume ratio, and tunable surface functionalities. This research project aims to explore the use of nanoparticles in targeted drug delivery for cancer treatment, with a focus on enhancing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic side effects. The study begins with a comprehensive review of the current literature on nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems for cancer treatment. This literature review evaluates the various types of nanoparticles, including liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, and inorganic nanoparticles, highlighting their advantages and limitations in drug delivery applications. Subsequently, the research methodology section outlines the experimental approach employed in this study, including the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, drug loading techniques, in vitro and in vivo evaluation of drug release kinetics, cellular uptake studies, and assessment of cytotoxicity and anticancer efficacy.
