The attitudes of radiographers towards their professional body play a crucial role in shaping their professional identity, commitment, and overall contribution to the field of radiography. This research project aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence the attitude of radiographers towards their professional body. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data. The quantitative phase will involve the distribution of surveys to a sample of radiographers to assess their perceptions of the professional body, satisfaction with its services, and level of engagement with its activities. The survey will also include demographic questions to capture variations in attitudes based on factors such as age, experience, and workplace setting. Statistical analysis will be conducted to identify correlations and patterns in the data. In the qualitative phase, in-depth interviews will be conducted with a subset of radiographers to explore the underlying reasons for their attitudes towards the professional body. The interviews will delve into factors such as perceived value of professional body membership, experiences with professional development opportunities, and the impact of the professional body on their professional practice. Thematic analysis will be used to identify common themes and insights from the interviews. The findings from both the quantitative and qualitative data will be integrated to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing radiographers' attitudes towards their professional body. This research aims to contribute to the existing literature on professional identity and engagement within the radiography profession.
