Abstract
Lipid peroxidation is a crucial process linked to various diseases and aging. Antioxidants play a significant role in preventing lipid peroxidation by neutralizing free radicals and reactive oxygen species. This research aimed to analyze the effects of various antioxidants on lipid peroxidation in human cells. The study utilized in vitro cell culture models to investigate the impact of antioxidants on lipid peroxidation levels. Ten different antioxidants were selected for evaluation based on their known free radical scavenging properties. The research methodology involved exposing human cells to oxidative stress inducers to stimulate lipid peroxidation, followed by treatment with antioxidants. Lipid peroxidation levels were measured using established biochemical assays, and the results were analyzed statistically. The literature review provided a comprehensive overview of lipid peroxidation, antioxidants, and their mechanisms of action in human cells. The review highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between free radicals and antioxidants to prevent cellular damage and dysfunction.
