Trade unions play a crucial role in advocating for the rights and interests of workers within an organization. One of the key tools at their disposal is the strike action, which is often utilized to exert pressure on employers to meet their demands. This research project aims to explore the impact of strike actions on the achievement of trade union aims within an organization. By examining the relationship between strike actions and the outcomes for trade unions, this study seeks to provide insights into the effectiveness of this tactic in advancing the goals of organized labor. The research will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. In-depth interviews with trade union officials, members, and management personnel will be conducted to gather qualitative insights into the perceptions and experiences of stakeholders regarding strike actions. Additionally, quantitative data on the frequency, duration, and outcomes of strike actions in a sample of organizations will be analyzed to identify patterns and trends. The findings of this research project are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on trade union strategies and tactics.
