Abstract
Climate change represents a significant challenge to agricultural productivity and farmer income worldwide, with potentially severe consequences for food security and rural livelihoods. This research project aims to assess the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity and farmer income in a selected region. The study focuses on understanding how changes in temperature, precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events associated with climate change are affecting agricultural production and the economic well-being of farmers. Through a combination of quantitative data analysis and qualitative research methods, the project aims to provide valuable insights into the current and future challenges faced by farmers in the context of a changing climate. The research will begin with an introduction that outlines the background of the study, identifies the problem statement, sets out the objectives of the research, discusses the limitations and scope of the study, highlights the significance of the study, presents the structure of the research, and provides definitions of key terms. Chapter Two will consist of a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research on the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity and farmer income, synthesizing key findings and identifying gaps in the literature. Chapter Three will detail the research methodology employed in the study, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The chapter will also discuss ethical considerations and limitations of the research methodology. Chapter Four will present the findings of the study, analyzing the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity and farmer income in the selected region. The chapter will explore the relationships between climate variables, agricultural outputs, and farmer incomes, providing insights into the mechanisms through which climate change affects agricultural systems.
